Avocado Toast

This is a great way to get your daily dose of healthy, plant-based fats so you can start your morning energized and rejuvenated. If you can toast bread, congratulations, you’ve made it.

FEATURED INGREDIENT: HIMALAYAN SALT
Himalayan salt is the pink, magical, iodine-packed mineral that’s formed naturally throughout Asia. It’s great for people with thyroid issues, as iodine absorption is crucial for healthy thyroid function. It also makes an excellent substitute for table salt because you only need a fraction of the serving to get the same saltiness. Best part? It packs all kinds of minerals, including magnesium, calcium, and potassium (for all you blasphemous banana haters).
NOTES:
Add cilantro and minced onion for a more “guac-y” feel.

INGREDIENTS:
2 slices bread (sourdough recommended)
1 ripe avocado
1 small roma tomato
juice of 1/2 lemon
himalayan salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Place the toast in your toaster (oven). Take a deep breath.
Turn the toaster…on.
Using the back of a fork, spread the avocado flesh onto the toasted bread.
Slice the tomato into rounds and place the slices onto the toast.
Top slices with lemon juice, salt, and pepper to your liking.
Enjoy with hot chili peppers, crushed red pepper, or cumin for an extra kick.
